This camera (DMC-FH20) is everything I expected and more. I am totally happy with it. I bought it mainly for the 8x optical zoom. I didn't expect the Extended optical Zoom of 67.5x since it is not mentioned anywhere except in the manual that comes with the camera. The 14mp resolution is nice but not important unless you intend to print wall sized photos. I use the camera at a 3mp setting and everything comes out well. If you are looking for a little cost savings consider the DMC-FH1.
