I bought this camera because I needed something more portable than my Canon. I use it mostly to take photos in the classroom (I'm an art teacher), but I found it's so easily carried and used, that I usually keep it in my purse for anything. The indoor setting isn't very good, but I haven't had an issue with anything else camera-wise. If you're a Mac user, don't bother installing the Nikon software.
