I have had this camera for over a year and a half now. Day time shots outside of still objects are great quality, as are close up shots. However, the flaws start to show when you try to take shots of moving objects. No matter what setting you use or how many functions you change it is not possible to capture action shots as the shutter is so slow!
My major problem with this camera comes when I try to take indoor night time pics. It is impossible to use this camera without the flash as every picture turns out dark and blurry. Again, I have tried every setting and function to remedy this to no avail. The only option is to use the auto flash which is absolutely blinding!!!! It kills all the atmosphere in the shot, as well as resulting in complaints from everyone that they have spots before their eyes! There is no chance of getting any candid shots with this camera. Even using the auto flash, the camera is so slow to actually take the shot. It is quite frustrating.
The other auto-settings on this camera (e.g. sports, party, snow etc) are pretty useless. Believe me, I have experimented with them and every other setting in every situation to no avail. I am really disappointed with this camera, particularly with the shutter speed (regardless of what settings you change) and the flash quality.
